SA AirBadminton Championships: 31 May – 2 June @ Centurion

 

Badminton South Africa would like to invite Provinces and Associations to enter teams in the first SA AirBadminton Championships over the period 31 May to 2 June 2024, as hosted by Badminton South Africa. We would like to encourage payers from all levels to enter and experience AirBadminton first hand.

 

The event will take place at Clubview Beach, 168 Edinburgh Avenue, Clubview, Centurion.

 

Provinces can enter teams of minimum 3 men and 3 women, maximum 4 men and 4 women to participate in the Inter-Provincial Championships.

 

Format for the Inter-Provincial Championships will consist out of 5 games:

1 x Men’s Doubles

1 x Women’s doubles

1 x Mixed Doubles

1 x Triples 1 (2 x Men and 1 Women)

1 x Triples 2 (2 x Women and 1 x Men)

 

There will also be an individual event for Men’s Triples and Women’s Triples.

 

Total cost will be R800. The entry fee will include:

Entry in the Inter-Provincial championships.

Entry in the Women’s Triples Open

Entry in the Men’s Triples Open

 

A team will be selected to represent South Africa at the African AirBadminton in Mauritius later this year. Date yet to be confirmed.
